Faculty

We have been blessed to bring in several outstanding faculty from the United States and Canada to serve as visiting faculty. All faculty have earned doctorates and decades of experience in higher education. Many are also published and have served in supervisory Dean roles in university settings. The following list represents those faculty who have already taught with us, or have agreed to teach with us in the very near future.

Dr. Tim Mackie

B.A. M.A. Ph.D University of Wisconsin-Mad

Dr. Tim Mackie is a co-founder and Chief Educational Officer for the Bible Project in Portland Oregon. With views nearing 300,000,000 the Bible Project is one of the greatest Biblical teaching tools in the modern world. Tim has also served as a pastor and Seminary faculty member, and is also an Alum of Multnomah University.

Dr. Rob Hildebrand

B.A. M.A. D.M. Providence Th. Seminary

Dr. Hildebrand serves as the Faculty Moderator, Practical Theology Chair, and Youth and Educational Ministries Department Chair at Multnomah University. He has three decades of experience working with young people and 18 years experience teaching in the University setting.

Dr. Garry Friesen

B.A. Th.M. Th.D. Dallas Th. Seminary

Dr. G was a beloved Multnomah University professor and Academic Dean for decades. He is widely known for his book “Decision making and the will of God”. He now teaches and helps to lead the Africa College of Theology in Kigali Rwanda. We were thrilled to fly Dr. G. in to teach part of our BIB 302 O.T. Survey course.

Dr. Steve Patty

B.Sc. M.A. Ph.D. Trinity Evangelical D. School

Dr. Patty has traveled the world serving as teacher, consultant, author, and conference speaker. He has spent time designing undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs at Multnomah University and the University of Monaco. He now leads ‘Dialogues in Action’, helping people reach their potential through leadership development.

Dr. Brad Harper

B.A. M.Div. PhD. St. Louis University

Brad is a Professor of Theology and Church History at Multnomah University and has also served as the chair of the Bible Theology Division. He is author of the very popular book “Space at the Table”, and loves to address the complex questions of life and faith with honesty and within a community of care.
